Jim Henson Restaurant

The Jim Henson Restaurant was a never pursued project, worked on by the Children's Television Workshop in 1997.

To be located in New York City, the restaurant was worked on by the Stanford Research Institute, and featured in the Harrison “Buzz” Price collection at the University of Central Florida's Rosen School of Hospitality Management in their special Special Collections & University Archives department. Price was involved "in virtually every theme park that was built from the mid-1960s through the mid-1990s." The collection also includes plans for the Walt Disney Company, Knott's, Warner Brothers, and LucasArts.

The papers are restricted until September 15, 2012.

Memorandum Report: Evaluation of the Presentation Papers for Open Sesame!, A Proposed Theme Attraction in Ontario, California" (1993) and "Concept and Feasibility Analysis for Sesame Street Studio Tour in New York City" (1995). For the Jim Henson Company exclusively, there is "Briefing Materials: Entertainment Business Strategy Charrette for Henson Productions" (1996) and "Charrette Summary Report: Attraction Development Opportunities for Jim Henson Productions" (1996).
