Jerry O'Connell (b. 1974) is an Irish-American actor. He is best known for his roles in the TV series Sliders and the film Stand By Me.
O'Connell appears on Sesame Street to explain the word "observe" in a Season 42 Word of the Day segment.
O'Connell has also been a regular on the CBS series The Defenders and on Crossing Jordan, as well as voicing Nightwing in the animated series The Batman and guest spots on Ugly Betty (with Vanessa Williams) and Las Vegas. Feature film credits include Kangaroo Jack, Scream 2 and Joe's Apartment (with Desiree Casado in a bit part).
