Jenny McCarthy (b. 1972) is an American model, comedian, actress, author and activist. She first appeared in Playboy magazine in October 1993 and was named Playmate of the Year in its June 1994 issue. She later began a career in television and film and has recently started writing books.

McCarthy appeared in Sesame Street's 39th season where she introduced the word of the day, "Insect", with Elmo and an insect in Episode 4165. She also appeared in a Backstage with Elmo segment for Sesamestreet.org.

McCarthy has made guest appearances on Two and a Half Men, My Name Is Earl, Hope & Faith, Just Shoot Me, and Baywatch.
