Jean Morlier (b. 1944) is a French composer, arranger, and bandleader. He composed all of the music for 1, Rue Sésame, the French co-production of Sesame Street. This included the characters' signature songs, such as "Chanson de Mordicus" and "Chanson de Toccata."
Morlier and his orchestra often performed on French TV variety shows. He occasionally scored French movies, accompanied several French recording artists, and released a 1970 album Musique Dessinée (Comic Strip Music). It crossed over to the United States that same year under the title The Big, Mad, Wide, Wonderful World of Jean Morlier.
