Jean Marsh (b. 1934) is a British actress best known for creating the television series Upstairs, Downstairs (with Dame Eileen Atkins) and for portraying house parlourmaid Rose Buck in the same series. She and Atkins also co-created the 1991 television series The House of Eliott. Marsh is also known for playing companion Sara Kingdom in Doctor Who.
Marsh appeared with Grover in The Grover Monster - Jean Marsh Cartoon Special on PBS in 1975. Years later, she appeared on Sesame Street alongside Gordon Jackson in the celebrity version of Put Down the Duckie, despite Grover's ungracious spoof of Upstairs Downstairs on "Monsterpiece Theater."
Marsh also co-starred with Brian Henson in Return to Oz.
