|The Muppet Show|
|1976-1977||A new Janice puppet debuts in episode 117 with a more "rounded" head shape, making her look like the Janice we know today. Her skin color is a brighter orange.|
| The Muppet Show|
|1977-1980||Janice has had a bit of dental work.|
|A Muppet Family Christmas||1980-1990||Janice sports a ponytail in The Muppets Take Manhattan and The Muppet Family Christmas. Her skin has also gotten darker.|
|The Muppets at Walt Disney World||1990-2002||Janice's head has been re-sculpted, fleece covering is added.|
|It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas||2002-2009||Janice's regular outfit has changed, the ponytail remains. She appears to have larger, darker lips.|
|D23 Expo||2009-2010|| Janice's lips seem to have gotten smaller, and after decades of allowing her hairdo to date her, her ponytail is gone again and her hair is significantly longer.
She further made her first viral video appearance in Bohemian Rhapsody, donning a new hat.
|Promotional photos||2011-present||Janice sports bangs on occasion (though only in photos). She is often wearing her classic signature hat again, with a feather similar to the one worn during The Muppet Show's fifth season, now positioned askew.|
|Design sketch by Michael Frith||1974||This original sketch indicates that Janice was intended to be a male character, a takeoff on Mick Jagger's emaciated frame. Her name is probably a reference to Janis Joplin. However, in her final form, she bears very little resemblance to either Jagger or Joplin.|
