Janet Knechtel

Janet Knechtel is a British puppet maker who worked on Labyrinth, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, 101 Dalmatians, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. For Jim Henson's Creature Shop, she built the popular character Flat Eric, star of a series of Levi's commercials. She continues to work as a puppet rigger for Hensons and Disney when their characters make (rare) appearances in Britain (such as Kermit at the 2006 Flora London Marathon).
