Jan Hofer (b.1952) anchorman on the ARD news. He appeared on Sesamstrasse in episode 2468, were he was interviwed by Wolle, about what a news anchorman does.

He has worked on television since 1970. During his carrer he has hosted varoius shows during his career they include Showbiss from 1987 to 1989, the NDR-Talkshow from 1989 to 1991 and Jazz-Musikreihe from 1990 to 1993.
