J is the tenth letter of the English alphabet. It featured in one of the earliest animated inserts for Sesame Street, referred to as the J Commercial, whose production is documented in the Sesame Street Pitch Reel. The ninth episode of Sesame Street was the first one to be sponsored by this letter.

J made a rare television guest appearance on Good Morning America in September 2012, albeit in a segment pre-taped on the Street with Josh Elliott.
