IronMonster

Grover as Iron Monster

Iron Man is a Marvel Comics superhero who debuted in 1963. He is the alter ego of wealthy (and often profligate) Tony Stark who used his armored suit to fight enemies and to keep his heart beating. He was a founding member of The Avengers and appeared regularly in that title starting the same year, although he didn't receive his own regular solo comic book until 1968.

Iron Man was one of the first group of Marvel characters to appear in animation (along with The Incredible Hulk and others) on The Marvel Super Heroes (1966). While his media presence gradually increased (with guest spots on various Spider-Man cartoons and his own 1990s animated series), he received his widest exposure in films beginning with Iron Man (2008) and subsequent Marvel movies (including the Avengers franchise).

Along with other Marvel heroes, Iron Man appeared on the border of the Muppet Babies comic book issue #10 (1984), as part of the company's 25th anniversary celebration.
