"Inside Outside Story" is a Sesame Street parody of West Side Story used in the Monsterpiece Theater segment of the same name.

Parodying the song "Tonight" from the musical, Tony and Maria have fallen in love, but they have a problem - Tony is outside and Maria is inside. Chip and Dip also sing of their plight, watching from beyond the fence. Just as a storm approaches outside, the lovers each get the idea unbeknownst to each other to leave their current place and go to where the other is, causing the problem once more, but the couple accept their fate.
