Olivia is going out on a date with Bernie, Bob's piano-tuning friend. They plan on taking the Sloppy Jalopy, but it breaks down on them. Oscar is staying in his can, and doesn't help people. They sing the song to lure him out, as Grouches hate music. Oscar, having all he can stand, emerges and helps them out.
