Muppets Most Wanted Let It Go Review

John Travolta Oscars-flub inspired Muppets Most Wanted ad, using Menzel's infamous pseudonym.

Idina Menzel (b. 1971) is a performer of stage and screen whose first breakout role was in Jonathan Larson's Rent in 1996. Her other well-known roles include Elphaba in Wicked (with Kristin Chenoweth), a recurring character on Glee, Disney's feature film Enchanted (with Amy Adams), and the voice of Elsa in Disney's Frozen.

Menzel with her then husband, Taye Diggs, presented the word "allergic" as the Word of the Day in a season 41 episode of Sesame Street.

References[]

  • When John Travolta introduced her during the 86th Academy Awards, he mispronounced her name as "Adele Dazeem." This quickly became an Internet meme which Disney's marketing team used in a video promo for Muppets Most Wanted. Adele Dazeem is quoted in the video saying "Let it go?... I say, just go...," a reference to "Let It Go", her Oscar-winning song from Frozen (written and composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Bobby Lopez).
