I Want to Be a Veterinarian is a 1992 Sesame Street book featuring Ernie.
Ernie takes Barkley to Dr. Duberman for a checkup. Dr. Duberman listens to Barkley's heart, looks in his eyes and ears, weighs him and checks him for fleas. He also gives him his yearly shot. Ernie is inspired to become a vet, and dreams of taking care of kittens, goats and elephants.
