Gladys Knight and the Grapes sing "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" for the closing number of episode 516 of The Muppet Show. Zoot makes a special appearance to take a sax solo, as the song eventually ends with a torrential downfall of snow.
The song was a hit for Gladys Knight & the Pips in 1967, but the best known version is by Marvin Gaye from 1968.
