"I'm Going to Go Back There Someday" is an original song written for The Muppet Movie. The Muppets get stranded in the desert, and as night falls they sit around a campfire. Gonzo recalls his experience flying and expresses his longing to return to the sky in song.
In 1999, Gonzo re-recorded the song for Muppets from Space. Although the song is not heard in the movie, it is included in the soundtrack.
In 2005, Gonzo and Paul Williams recorded a version of this song for the dualdisc set I'm Going Back There Someday.
