I'll Miss You, Mr. Hooper is a storybook based on the Sesame Street television script from episode 1839. The book tells the story of Big Bird coming to an understanding that Mr. Hooper has passed away.
The book follows the script for the Street scenes fairly closely, even using some dialogue verbatim. Deviations from the filmed scenes include Big Bird in his nest drawing pictures of his friends, and remembering favorite moments with Mr. Hooper illustrated by Mathieu.
