"Hound Dog" is a blues song originally recorded in 1953 by Big Mama Thornton. The song was popularized by Elvis Presley in 1956.
Aging rockers Geri and the Atrics performed "Hound Dog" in their first appearance on The Muppet Show, in Episode 404.
The song was also featured in the 1985 stage show The Muppet Show On Tour: 2nd Edition.
On The Jim Henson Hour, Rowlf the Dog sang the song after turning into Elvis Presley.
