DEBUT 1982

Homer Honker is the green Honker with blue hair and a yellow-orange nose on Sesame Street. Homer is a honker who helps people counting with the nose honking he makes.

Homer appeared in a skit with Billy Dee Williams where they counted backwards from ten, and Homer appeared in a skit with Count von Count where Count von Count counted the honks Homer made.

His name is captioned in a screenshot with Placido Flamingo seen on page 63 of Jim Henson: The Works. He once appeared on Guy Smiley's game show "Name That Sound", where he was identified as Mr. Honker. In this sketch, Guy Smiley also mentions that Mr. Honker is from the Land of Honks. Homer also served himself as Oscar the Grouch's car horn in the feature film Follow That Bird.

Beginning with "Elmo's World: Noses," the Homer puppet now sports red hair.

The Homer puppet is the same as the one used for Murray Beethoven. He was also called Alphonse in a sketch teaching "next to". ( In Elmo's Musical Monsterpiece, he is identified as Hank Honker.

Among the Honker's various performers were Kathryn Mullen, who puppeteered him in "The Honker-Duckie-Dinger Jamboree," and Tim Gosley in Follow That Bird.
