Holly Bird is a member of the Birds-of-a-Feather club in the 1987 Big Bird StoryMagic book The Colors of Spring. Along with his fellow club members Little Bird, Buddy Bird, Maxwell Bird, Becca Bird and Billy Bird, Holly is attempting to earn her "Know-Your-Colors" badge.

She begins by painting a daffodil and lemons for yellow and a Tree for green. Unfortunatly when invited to lunch with the Orange and Purple familes, the picnic table gets knocked over, spilling a a pitcher of orange juice all over her. But while heading home after the picnic lunch, a brief rain storm blows over, washing the bird clean and allowing her to paint a picture of a rainbow.
