"Hold My Hand" was performed by Hootie & the Blowfish in a Sesame Street segment from Season 31. The song is a variant on the band's song of the same name with lyrics changed by Christine Ferraro for a safety theme about crossing the street with a grown-up.
The group sings (and crosses the street) with Elizabeth, Zoe, and a few kids. At the song's second verse, frontman Darius Rucker recalls when he and Elmo crossed the street.
