An unnamed bearded hippie character appeared during the first season of Sesame Street. Appearances include leading the monsters in "First and Last" and showing off his facial hair in Kermit's Lecture on hair.
The puppet is very similar to that of Grump in the Muppet Meeting Films, except with a shaggy brown beard and a pair of glasses.
