Hippie

A nameless bearded hippie character appeared during the first season of Sesame Street.

The puppet is very similar to that of Grump in the Muppet Meeting Films, dressed in a shaggy brown beard and a pair of glasses.

He has also had various performers in the sketches he appeared in, including Frank Oz in "Good Morning Starshine", Jim Henson in the "First and Last" sketch, and Caroll Spinney in Kermit the Frog's lecture on "hair".

The character was also seen in the ending of some episodes holding up the Sesame Street and CTW sign.
