Hero Guy is Baby Bear's imaginary superhero friend, who was introduced in the street story from Episode 3915.

In a series of sketches on Sesame Street, Baby Bear brings Hero Guy to life by drawing a picture of him and singing his theme song. These sketches first aired in Season 32, and stopped airing in Season 34 until Season 38 in a couple of episodes. When Hero Guy, who is also a bear, springs to life as an animated character, he and Baby Bear embark on adventures together. Although they often face unexpected challenges, Hero Guy never fails to save the day.

Hero Guy's voice is nearly identical to Baby Bear's, which is perhaps to be expected given his status as Baby Bear's creation.

	Episode 3995	Hero Guy and Baby Bear ride a pirate ship, but Baby Bear forgot to draw the water. Fortunately, Hero Guy's tears make the water.
	Episode 3999	Hero Guy has to rescue the kitty drawn in the tree, but the kitty is afraid.
	Episode 4029	Baby Bear gets distracted and draws Hero Guy with a Super Big Hand by accident. Now Hero Guy can play basketball faster and squeeze lemons for lemonade.
