Hermione Gingold
From Muppet Wiki
Hermione Gingold (1897-1987) was a British actress who performed in London revues and later in such films as Gigi (as Madame Alvarez) and The Music Man (as the mayor's wife). As a stage actress she was never an understudy, except in the 1977 Broadway production of Side By Side By Sondheim when she understudied Ned Sherrin. Gingold was a popular US talk show guest, appearing on The Jack Paar Show, The Merv Griffin Show, and The Mike Douglas Show. On the latter, she appeared multiple times during the 1966 week showcasing the Muppets, notably engaging King Goshposh in discussion about the particulars of his royal stature, followed by singing "I Remember It Well" together.
