• The movie was spoofed in the Summer 1987 issue of Muppet Magazine, with Kermit the Frog dressed as Dolph Lundgren. The photo was later used for a parody poster in the Muppet*Vision 3D queueing area.

• In issue #2 of Muppet King Arthur, Miss Piggy references other famous castles, including He-Man's Greyskull.
