Grover makes a Mother's Day card for his mommy at school, but he can't think of anything to give his mother as a present. On his way home, he asks his Sesame Street friends for advice.
Oscar the Grouch suggests a bunch of stinkweed, Bert suggests a new mop, and Ernie thinks a Rubber Duckie would make a good present. Grover rejects Big Bird's suggestion of a birdseed cake, and tells Cookie Monster that his mommy already bakes the best cookies.
When he gets home, his mommy is happy to get Grover's homemade card, and tells him that being his mommy is the best present she could get.
