Hammy Swinette appeared in the Sesame Street sketch "Stand By Your Can," which was heard on the cassette We Are All Earthlings.

The character is a spoof of Tammy Wynette. Her one speaking line, at the end of the sketch, is provided by David Rudman, while her singing is looped.
