Mr. Poodlepants conducting a choir of penguins

The choral piece, "Hallelujah!", popularly known as the Hallelujah Chorus, is the most famous classical work composed by George Frideric Handel, and it closes the second part of Handel's oratorio Messiah, which dramatizes the life of Jesus Christ.

In episode 410 of The Muppet Show, Gonzo plans to shoot himself from a catapult to sky-write the "Hallelujah Chorus," but ends up sending Kermit and Miss Piggy flying into Statler and Waldorf's theater box.

Mr. Poodlepants conducts a choir of penguins to sing the "Hallelujah Chorus" until the penguins get into a fight in the middle of the song and the sketch act is ended quickly in episode 211 of Muppets Tonight.

In Elmo's Christmas Countdown, when The Christmas Counter-Downer box is found, the opening line of "Hallelujah!" is played as Elmo exclaims, "It's a Christmas miracle!"
