"Habanera" is both a music genre which originated in Cuba, and a famous aria from the opera Carmen. This aria has been performed in multiple Muppet productions.

Performances

• On Sesame Street, an orange pops out of a basket of fruits and gets "made up" as the face of Carmen, and sings the famous aria until she loses her face. (EKA: Episode 0277) (YouTube)

• Denyce Graves sings a version of the aria to Elmo in episode 4078 of Sesame Street.

• Charmin' sang a song about how her love could send her love letters by using a fax in a Sesame Street spoof of the song.

• Miss Piggy warbles the aria for her audition piece for the opera Pigoletto in episode 409 of The Muppet Show.
