Guys and Dolls is a musical by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. Based on the writings of Damon Runyon, it tells the story of "Guys" Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson and their respective "Dolls," Miss Adelaide and Sister Sarah Brown.

The musical opened on Broadway in 1950, ran for three years, and garnered five Tony Awards. It has since become a staple of community and regional theatres, as well as enjoyed two successful revivals on Broadway, including one with an all African-American cast.
