Grover comes to Kermit's home to sell him a machine that can produce weather inside his home. Grover makes it snow, makes it windy, and then makes it rain inside Kermit's living room. Note: At the beginning of this sketch, Kermit tells Grover that he didn't know that he was a door-to-door salesman, which implies that this might be the first skit where Grover tried to sell something to Kermit.

Grover sells newspapers in the street. He thinks they are for making paper hats, but a customer shows him they are actually for reading. The customer wants to buy a newspaper, but Grover won't stop reading the paper that the customer wants to buy. Grover reads about construction of a new building, a parade, and an expected rain shower, all of which occur as Grover reads.

Hair Piece Salesman Episode 2996 |
When Grover comes to Kermit's home dressed in salesman attire, Kermit quickly tells Grover that he doesn't want whatever it is that Grover is selling, since Grover always tries to sell him things that he has no use for. However, Grover tells Kermit that he has come to give him something: a hairpiece. Once it is on Kermit's head, Kermit decides that it doesn't look very good. Grover agrees, and offers to sell him a comb, a hair brush, some shampoo, and hair tonic.
