They sing the song to Micki and another punked-out girl to explain that grouch girls don't have fun. Despite their best intentions, the song makes the two human girls dance, which they find fun.
The song is a parody of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." In the album version of the song, Oscar replaces Grundgetta as the lead singer, with some of her leading vocals still intact.
