Griffins, also spelled gryphons, are mythological figures, usually depicted with the head and front legs of an eagle and the body and back legs of a lion. They have figured in several Creature Shop productions, with equally variant spellings.
- A gryphon appears in Dreamchild and another in the 1999 TV movie Alice in Wonderland. Both are based on the same character in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a solemn sort and companion to the Mock Turtle.
- A computer animated Gryphon appears in MirrorMask. Despite the name, however, this is a somewhat cat-like creature with a propensity for riddles (a trait normally associated with the Sphinx, and is called "Gryphon" for the mythological cache of the word, rather than using any of the traditional physical elements.
