Gretel the Cow appeared in a sketch of The Muppets on Puppets (played by a generic monster puppet). In a mixed-up fairytale sketch, Gretel is owned by Hansel, who plans on selling her for some magic beans.

Rowlf thinks she's a funny looking cow, but Hansel sees Gretel as having some worth due to her ability to jump over the moon. Gretel leaps into space, only returning to earth at the story's climax. A kiss from Cinderella turns her into a fairy godmother.
