A Grenadier Guardsman appeared in a Sesame Street News Flash sketch from Season 19 of Sesame Street. While Kermit was reporting from London, the guardsman interruped to present him with the "Famous London Log," courtesy of Her Majesty the Queen.

Though not named within the dialogue, the guardsman's uniform is that of the Grenadier Guards. They are one of five regiments who make up the Queen's Guard. Famed for their tall hats, the guardsmen are most closely associated with Buckingham Palace. In an episode of Fraggle Rock, Uncle Traveling Matt encountered a real-life Grenadier Guardsman, whose hat he assumed was actually a pet.
