Gramps is the fiddler from Lubbock Lou and his Jughuggers, all of whom debuted in The Muppet Show episode 208. He remained with the band in subsequent appearances.

Gramps was occasionally seen apart from the band, and with different performers, such as in "Cigarettes and Whiskey" (playing a drunk) and "For What It's Worth" (as a hunter).
