Goggles is a young toad who lives in the swamp where Kermit comes from. Together with Croaker, the three form a trio of friends who find themselves on their first adventure outside the borders of their swamp home in Kermit's Swamp Years, when Goggles is stolen by a pet store owner. He is timid and easily frightened.
Goggles also appeared at a 2002 San Diego Comic-Con panel to promote the movie, where he was performed by Victor Yerrid.
Originally, Bill Baretta was meant to play Goggles while Joey Mazzarino was to play Croaker. However, after the two puppeteers tried the characters, it was decided that they would be better off switching the roles.[1]
