A computer-generated Giant Squid appears in a 2007 episode of Sesame Street. Elmo, hoping to become a Bookaneer, must say the alphabet with the squid as part of his initiation. His verbal abilities limit him to only one word - "glub."

The squid re-appeared in the Heaviest Catch sketch (First: Episode 4258), being caught by Captain Keith Heartburn and dubbed the "heaviest catch" they've been looking for. However, due to the squid's large mass, he causes their boat to sink.
