Getting Ready for School is a 1987 direct-to-video release in the My Sesame Street Home Video series featuring a framing story with Big Bird. He speaks to the audience about how he's been to school for three days, and now feels well equipped to tell others all about it. Later, he decides to play school with Mr. Snuffleupagus and the kids as the students. Snuffy can't raise his hand, so he raises his snuffle instead. He also tells his experiences in Snuffle-garten and joins Big Bird in an update of "Everyone Makes Mistakes" using the same original track.
