1984 George Pal Lecture

The George Pal Lecture on Fantasy Film is a discussion panel established in 1980 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in memory of filmmaker George Pal.

Jim Henson delivered the 1984 lecture accompanied by Kermit the Frog on October 15 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Henson screened clips from Time Piece, Number Twelve Rocks, The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Dark Crystal, and the as-yet unreleased Dreamchild, and fielded a question and answer session with Kermit.[1]
