Gene Wilder

Gene Wilder (b. 1933) is a comic actor best known for playing Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and for his collaborations with Mel Brooks in such films as Young Frankenstein and the 1968 version of The Producers. In 1999, Wilder appeared in the Creature Shop TV movie Alice in Wonderland as the Mock Turtle.
Wilder was the husband of Gilda Radner, and in the 1970s, was heard on The Electric Company as the voice of Letterman.
