Gemma Jones (b. 1942) is a British actress who appeared in The StoryTeller episode "The Heartless Giant" as the queen.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Jones is a frequent performer in period dramas, historical epics, and classical adaptations for big and small screen, boasting such roles as Titania and Portia in Shakespeare productions, both Gwendolen and Miss Prism in separate TV versions of The Importance of Being Earnest, Mrs. Dashwood in the 1995 version of Sense and Sensibility, Mrs. Fairfax in Jane Eyre (1997, TV), Lady Queensbury in Wilde, and in a lighter vein, Queen Victoria in Shanghai Knights. More contemporary portrayals include Madam Pomfrey in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Bridget Jones' mum in Bridget Jones' Diary and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
