Garnett is a female raccoon who lives in Kermit's Swamp with at least two children. In the book Kermit, Save the Swamp!, she attends the "Good-Bye, Swamp" party that Kermit throws. Although she does not voice her opinions about turning her home into the Swamp World shopping mall and amusement park, it is suggested that she is excited about the change until Kermit points out just what the swamp's inhabitants will lose if the land is developed.
