Freddy Flapman is a real estate agent for birds. He appeared in a 2009 episode of Sesame Street to persuade Big Bird to join a new habitat. He explained that other birds live at the beach, in the swamp, and in the rain forest, and invited Big Bird to join them. Big Bird was tempted to move to the rain forest, but ultimately decided to stay on Sesame Street with his friends. Flapman declares that he'll change his name to "Freddie Flopman."

His name is often mixed up, like how Big Bird often called Mr. Hooper "Mr. Looper" or how Snuffy and Alice called Mr. Handford "Mr. Handfoot."

Flapman's character is similiar to Miss Finch on "Follow That Bird" whose job is to make sure every bird in the world is living with other birds whom she tried to persuade Big Bird to live with other birds.
