Fred (Lighthouse Island)

Fred is a man who lives in isolation on Hog Island. He possesses a magic pearl which enables him to transform into anything he wishes. Once a resident of Lighthouse Island, Fred originally gave the pearl (which belonged to his father) to Clara Buford, but he took it back when he discovered its power. When Clara plots to take the pearl back, Fred protects his territory by becoming a sea monster, a giant bird and a creature with a long tentacle which menaces the invaders to his home.
