Kermitbirthday
Written by Anonymous

Linda Lavin and the Muppets sing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" to Kermit in honor of his birthday at the end of episode 406 of The Muppet Show. After the song, Kermit admits that his birthday isn't for four months.

Rowlf and the Muppets sing "For She's a Jolly Good Porker" during the UK Spot in episode 502 of The Muppet Show when they realize that Miss Piggy will take Foo-Foo with her when she leaves.

Larry Nooly and Horton the Elephant sang this to the Grinch for his surprise party in the Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss episode "The Guest".

Big Bird, Maria and other Sesame Street residents sing this song to Snuffy in Big Bird Gets Lost.

The British/Australian version of the song, which replaces the lyrics "which nobody can deny" with "and so say all of us," is sung twice in "Kermit's Story," the first issue of The Muppet Show Comic Book. The Muppets first perform the song to cheer Kermit up, but this attempt, which ends with Miss Piggy emerging from a cake dressed as a lily pad, ultimately fails. Once Robin has figured out how to ease his uncle's troubled spirit, though, Kermit insists that his nephew is honored with a verse of the song.

The popular children's song "The Bear Went Over the Mountain" is often sung to the same tune as "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."
