The Evolution of Floyd Pepper (1975-present)

	Sex and Violence	1975	Contrary to popular belief as a result of this still-frame, the first Floyd did not have spiral eyes. This was a lighting effect. His skin color is a lavender purple. He also has a hat and his outfit he wears in The Muppet Show Season 2-5.
	The Muppet Show Season 1	1976-1977	Floyd now sports a pair of shades. His shade of lavender purple isn't as bold, and his hair and mustache are more orange than red.
	The Muppet Show Season 2	1977-1978	Floyd's shades are removed and his eyes, which can now blink, are also redesigned to look sunglasses-esque, similar to Mahna Mahna's). He also starts wearing his hat all the time. (During the first season, the only times that Floyd would wear his hat were mainly when he was performing with the Electric Mayhem.)
	The Muppet Show Season 3	1978-1979	Floyd's sunglasses-esque eyes are redesigned again.
	The Muppet Show Season 4	1979-1980	Floyd has a much brighter skin color and has a longer and thicker nose.

	Muppets TV	2006-2009	Starting with a Muppetism, Floyd's lower jaw is reshaped, leaving him with less of a rounded chin and more of a rounded lower lip. His foam skin is now covered in pink fleece. His hands are now fabric rather than exposed foam. His most regularly worn outfit up to the Studio DC: Almost Live specials, is a blue jacket in combination with a dark gray undershirt.
	D23 Expo	2009-present	In 2009 at the D23 Expo Floyd's nose shrinks slightly, most notably in length, and turns more red again. His skin color is now a pink/purple. He switches to an outfit closely resembling his original costume, and alternates with a more casual green and black checkered shirt.
Planning
	Design sketch by Michael Frith	1974	This original sketch shows Floyd still donning a blue nose and outfit, both of which were changed to red tones in puppet form. He was further designed to appear with a more decorated hat and a gold earring.
