Gonzo eats a rubber tire to the music of "The Flight of the Bumblebee" in episode 101 of The Muppet Show. But he only gets a few bites in before he is booed off the stage. A reproduction of the tire from this appearance, replete with bite marks, was included with Palisades Toys' Tuxedo Gonzo Action Figure.
Gonzo later plays the song on his bugle in episode 218, as Rowlf plays the piano and Animal chases a bumblebee.
In Muppet*Vision 3D, a penguin member of the orchestra begins playing the tune when Bean Bunny interrupts Miss Piggy's musical number with a bee puppet.
In episode 107 of Muppets Tonight, Bill the Bubble Guy blows bubbles while the song plays.
The piece was used briefly during the quiz portion of "Elmo's World: Bugs" during a question about bees. It is also heard later in the segment when Dorothy imagines Elmo as a bee.
In a 2010 Sesamstrasse segment, Ernie and Bert attend the sound check of a philharmonic orchestra rehearsing the song. Refusing to wear a beekeeper's hat, Bert has to suffer the consequences.
