Dirty Harry is a series of movies and novels featuring a cop named "Dirty" Harry Callahan. Five films were made from 1971 to 1988 starring Clint Eastwood as the title character. Among other things, the movies introduced several quotable lines to the lexicon including, "do you feel lucky punk... well, do ya?" and "go ahead, make my day".

- In a 1991 public service announcement for the National Wildlife Federation, Bill, Gil and Jill come up with slogans to promote Earth Day. Jill suggests, "Go Ahead, Make My Earth Day."
- John Goodman plays a call center operator for the Tough Guy Hotline in Stars and Street Forever. One of the tough guy movie quotes he gives Telly Monster is "go ahead, make my day".
- Kermit does an impression of Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry character on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn in 2002.
- In The Muppet Show Comic Book: Pigs in Space, Fozzie Bear pitches the movie "Dirty Crazy Harry" to two executives (Statler and Waldorf) while fleeing their film studio.
